Dr. Konya Kavita Keeling-Johnson is from Nashville, Tennessee and received her undergraduate degree from The University of Maryland at College Park. She earned a Medical Degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2003. After her General Surgery Residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., she completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Before returning to Houston, Dr. Keeling-Johnson practiced colorectal surgery in Mesa, Arizona at Advanced Surgical Associates. She is the physician owner of Houston Southwest Colon and Rectal Clinic and the Chief of Surgery at St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital.
Dr. Keeling-Johnson is interested in all realms of colon and rectal surgery but particularly colon cancer screening via colonoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, minimally invasive colon resections, common anorectal abnormalities and pelvic floor dysfunction.
When not involved in patient care, Dr. Keeling-Johnson enjoys traveling with her husband, exercising, and watching professional cycling.
